Good day everyone!
I am just dropping a quick note to let everyone know that I have not, in any way, abandoned this blog. I have, however, been extremely neglectful and for that I do apologize. I am in kind of a writing rut and am trying really hard to pull myself out of it. I also have a bunch of art to share. Instead of sharing each one separately, I’m going to do a couple of posts with brief summaries.
I hope everyone is doing well. If anyone has any advice about how to get back inside a story, please let me know. Wendy posted an interview meme the other day that might get me motivated again. We shall see….
Oh goodness friends, I have an art back-up. I wanted to have creative text to go along with all of it, but I just don’t see how that’s possible. Anyway, over the next couple of days I’ll be posting mostly art with short descriptions. Following that, I have two chapters (one from the epic disaster, the other from Under the Purple Sky) in the works.
I hope everyone is doing well, staying warm (where applicable), and feeling creative.

So, the new chapter is fairly long (and the fight scene is still a little dodgy) so I’m going to post it in two parts. And since it’s been such a long time since I’ve updated the story, I’m going to post a summary of all the important parts up to this point. The summary is under the cut. It should go without saying that for anyone not caught up, it’s full of spoilers. Continue reading
I finished the latest chapter. All I have to do now is proofread and clean up the fight scene. I will do that over the weekend. Before I post it, however, I will post a summary of the plot to this point.
My writing is in fits and spurts these days. Some days I can see the end of the current chapter (and it’s so close). Other days, I can’t deal with it and so spend time working on other chapters or other story ideas. In an attempt to reign in my creative energy and organize my ideas and headcanons, I have been putting together shorter pieces, some of which I will be posting here on the blog. These include character back stories and bios. The backstories will be posted right here on the blog, and the bios will be listed on a Tumblr blog I have set up and dedicated to my various characters’ aesthetics. It sounds so corny, but I’m amazed at how all these visuals and play list things that people create actual inspire and motivate. These things can all be found under “Writing and the Creative Process” above. Note that backstories do not contain spoilers, though the Tumblr and bios do.
I hope everyone is having a lovely summer (or winter, if you are on the other side of the planet).
