Spectacular Fan Art XVII: Evangeline Sigeweald and Xeri Tharys (Commission)

I realized recently that I never did commission any art specifically for the Disaster’s two-year anniversary. Around the same time a friend* of mine pointed me in the direction of Savvy Sasquatch, an artist on tumblr who does a lot of Dragon Age and Skyrim art. Seriously, check out his drawing of Vivienne from Dragon Age: Inquisition and of another favorite dragonborn of mine, Indis Mero and her beloved Teldryn Sero. So, when he offered a summer special on his character art, I immediately contact him and asked him to draw Evangeline Sigeweald, Elspeth’s mother and anti-Thalmor revolutionary, and Xeri Tharys, Dunmer warrior and Elspeth’s hardass mentor.

I am so very pleased with how they turned out. The detail on the armor is perfect and check out the little scroll and flower Evangeline has in her belt.

*Also, if you aren’t already, you should be reading the story of Indis and Teldryn here.

Also note, I am going to try to finish my new chapter tonight and post it before the weekend. I am very excited about this chapter, which has some interesting plot things I’ve been dying to reveal.

  1. That is so cool, not sure why Xeri is wearing Orcish armor, I always imagined her in a lighter chainmail type suit but she does look good in Orcish. Evangeline looks like she is ignoring whatever Xeri is saying. Great piece!

    1. Xeri’s all about the heavy armor because she’s super strong. And I liked Orcish best for her because it seemed to be a good color/aesthetic for her. And because it’s one of the better armors: Ebony seemed too fancy, Dwarven seemed too roboty-looking, Daedric is too Daedric, and so on and so forth.

  2. THIS IS SO GORGEOUS. Seriously, though, it’s really awesome. I’m kind of in love with this. Davey is really just so talented and awesome and he really it out of the park with this one.
